Martin Luther was quoted as saying that the Gospel of St. John was gold! Therefore, it was seen by the reformer to be the most valuable and most precious of all the writings in the Holy Bible. Why is that? Well, it is due to the fact that St. John’s Gospel is the one work that concentrates on salvation from its beginning to end! In the Gospel according to John, Jesus offers His followers final instructions at the Last Supper in the 13th chapter.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” (ESV Bible St. John 13:34)
